I am always looking for ways to be more environmentally friendly but cannot sacrifice my cleaning power. So, I decided to do my own stain test to see how it well it works. I took an undershirt, stained it and let the stains set for a few hours. Then I cut the shirt in half and washed half in regular Green Works detergent and half with the Green Works stain remover and Green Works detergent. The following pictures are my test. I apologize for the terrible lighting but I did what I could with the lighting in my house and lack of natural light.

This is my staining of a shirt. My stains are not as perfectly shaped as a commercial but they are real. The first is Tabasco sauce, the second is a major glob of mustard, the third is grape juice, and the last one is my attempt at a dirt stain.

Half the shirt washed without stain remover but still in Green Works detergent in hot water (you can’t see but there is still a little grape juice stain on the shirt that is very faint). The hot sauce and mustard stains are still very apparent.

That was my at home stain remover test. After the test I tried to get out the hot sauce and mustard with Shout ULTRA and it also did not get them out. So…my best advice is to deal with those types of stains before they set in. I wish you good luck.

With the due date approaching how can anyone (especially out in Fabulous LA) think of wearing one of those dreadful hospital gowns! I mean, is that really what you want your baby’s first impression to be…that his/her mama has no fashion sense! (just kidding but it sounds good eh?)

Well the best defense is a strong offense, and the best offense for the flu is constant hand washing (and vitamin C). However, it is not always so easy to find soap and hand sanitizer is not the best thing for little kids. Anti-Bacterial Paper Soap to the rescue!

This wonderful invention solves so many problems. Just add water and wash your hands anywhere. And, because it is paper you can also carry it on the airplane and not have to worry there either. It has a wonderful Eucalyptus and Mint smell and the small carrying case comes with 30 soap papers. Again, just add water and wash to neutralize germs and harmful bacteria. So pick some up today and add it to your (all ready full…I know) diaper bag.
